The wings. Not you. 😉 While we don’t recommend you try frying them naked – to be honest, who’s gonna know if you do?
This easiest of preparations is also one of the most delicious. This is a good way to enjoy all the wonderful chicken taste – especially the crispy skin.
This preparation works especially well sticky sauces and thick hot sauces.
Chicken Wings – Fried Naked
Ingredients (other than wings)
- Cooking Oil, enough in the pan to come up to about 1/2 the thickest wing
Directions
- Heat oil in a large heavy frying pan to about 375°F.
- Add the wings, a few at a time. You want a single layer. Do not crowd.
- Deep fry for about 10 to 15 minutes, turning over at least once and more as needed until they are nicely browned and crisp.
- Drain the wings on a paper towel covered plate.
