How to Fried Chicken Wings Naked

The wings. Not you. 😉 While we don’t recommend you try frying them naked – to be honest, who’s gonna know if you do?

This easiest of preparations is also one of the most delicious. This is a good way to enjoy all the wonderful chicken taste – especially the crispy skin.

This preparation works especially well sticky sauces and thick hot sauces.


Chicken Wings – Fried Naked

Ingredients (other than wings)

  • Cooking Oil, enough in the pan to come up to about 1/2 the thickest wing

Directions

  1. Heat oil in a large heavy frying pan to about 375°F.
  2. Add the wings, a few at a time. You want a single layer. Do not crowd.
  3. Deep fry for about 10 to 15 minutes, turning over at least once and more as needed until they are nicely browned and crisp.
  4. Drain the wings on a paper towel covered plate.
