Cajun-Spiced Chicken Wings is a Chicken Wing Spice-Only Recipe – So you are gonna need some cooked wings. Click the links below to make any style of chicken wings.
Cajun-Spiced Chicken Wings Recipe
Ingredients
- Wings (Use one of the recipes in the box above or one of your own)
- Cajun Season Mix (Recipe below or use your own homemade or storebought favorite)
- Vegetable Oil, for coating

- If using homemade Cajun Seasoning Mix, prepare according to recipe directions. Set aside.
- Prepare wings of choice according to recipe and directions.
- Place prepared wings in a large bowl.
- Toss wings with oil. Make sure are wings are coated.
- Lightly sprinkle or dust prepared Cajun Seasoning Mix over wing. Toss. Sprinkle more mix as necessary to fully-coat all wings.
- Place on a plate or in a serving bowl and serve.
Store remaining Cajun Seasoning Mix, tightly sealed, in the cupboard, freezer or refrigerator.
Cajun Seasoning Mix Recipe
This is a mildly hot Cajun spice mix you make yourself with common spices from your pantry. For those who like it hotter, add more of the crushed red pepper.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon Sweet or Smoked Paprika, of choice
- 1 tablespoon Garlic Powder
- 1 tablespoon Onion Powder
- 2 teaspoons White Pepper
- 2 teaspoons freshly ground Black Pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon ground Cayenne Pepper, or more to taste
- 1 teaspoon dried Thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon dried Oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes or Powder, more or less (none) to taste
- Salt, to taste
Directions
- Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Mix well. (Pulse in a food processor if you like.)
- Store in cool, dry place in a small well-sealed jar or plastic container.
